Those are the ones of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them but admonish them and speak to them a far-reaching word. أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ mereka itu Those ٱلَّذِينَ الَّذِيۡنَ orang-orang yang are the ones who يَعْلَمُ يَعۡلَمُ mengetahui knows ٱللَّهُ اللّٰهُ Allah Allah فِى فِىۡ di dalam is in قُلُوبِهِمْ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ hati mereka their hearts فَأَعْرِضْ فَاَعۡرِضۡ maka berpalinglah kamu so turn away عَنْهُمْ عَنۡهُمۡ dari mereka from them وَعِظْهُمْ وَعِظۡهُمۡ dan berilah mereka pelajaran and admonish them وَقُل وَقُلْ dan katakanlah and say لَّهُمْ لَّهُمۡ kepada mereka to them فِىٓ فِىۡۤ dalam concerning أَنفُسِهِمْ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ diri/jiwa mereka their souls قَوْلًۢا قَوۡلًاۢ perkataan a word بَلِيغًۭا بَلِيۡغًا berbekas penetrating

Mereka itu adalah orang-orang yang sesungguhnya Allah mengetahui apa yang ada di dalam hatinya. Karena itu berpalinglah kamu dari mereka, yakni jangan hiraukan mereka dan jangan percaya pada ucapan dan sumpah mereka, dan berilah mereka nasihat yang menyentuh hati mereka, dan katakanlah kepada mereka perkataan yang membekas dan menghunjam pada jiwa mereka. Demikianlah kelicikan dari orang-orang munafik, tetapi ayat ini menyatakan dengan tegas bahwa mereka itu adalah orang-orang yang telah diketahui apa yang tersimpan di dalam hati mereka, yaitu sifat dengki dan keinginan untuk melakukan tipu muslihat yang merugikan kaum Muslimin. Oleh karena itu Allah memerintahkan kepada Rasulullah dan kaum Muslimin agar jangan mempercayai mereka dan jangan terpedaya oleh tipu muslihat mereka. Di samping itu hendaklah mereka diberi peringatan dan pelajaran dengan kata-kata yang dapat mengembalikan mereka kepada kesadaran dan keinsafan sehingga mereka bebas dari sifat kemunafikan, dan benar-benar menjadi orang yang beriman. sumber Keterangan mengenai QS. An-NisaSurat An Nisaa' yang terdiri dari 176 ayat itu, adalah surat Madaniyyah yang terpanjang sesudah surat Al Baqarah. Dinamakan An Nisaa' karena dalam surat ini banyak dibicarakan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan wanita serta merupakan surat yang paling membicarakan hal itu dibanding dengan surat-surat yang lain. Surat yang lain banyak juga yang membicarakan tentang hal wanita ialah surat Ath Thalaq. Dalam hubungan ini biasa disebut surat An Nisaa' dengan sebutan Surat An Nisaa' Al Kubraa surat An Nisaa' yang besar, sedang surat Ath Thalaq disebut dengan sebutan Surat An Nisaa' Ash Shughraa surat An Nisaa' yang kecil.
